Arts and Craftiness

Arts and Crafts - good for the soul. It is all just a great way to relax and let my mind go free. I am not professing here to be any good at arts and crafts, but some people like my stuff, mostly my mum, my husband and my bestie, Sarah, but I am very proud to say that I have been selected to exhibit in the Moral Injury exhibition which is coming to Britannia Panopticon Music Hall from June 5th - 20th, open Monday - Saturday from 10am - 5pm. I hope you can make it along. You can find out more about the exhibition and other coming events at https://britanniapanopticon.org

The artwork that I will be including is bubble art - well that's what I call it. The work is inspired by the music hall song "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles." I use washing-up liquid, acrylic paint and a wee bit of glitter to create bubbles or colour representing our individuality, thoughts, hopes, and dreams. I use ink splatters to represent these bubbles being burst by the moral injuries caused by hunger, poverty and war - three elements that were common in the Victorian era and shockingly are still far too common today. I have also included some... well, I am not going to tell you anything else just now. You will simply have to come along a have a look to see what other medium I have added to my work. Meanwhile, the following picture is an example of my Bubble art. I will also be selling Bubble art cards during the exhibition.

More bubble art and a couple of prints made from sections of my bubble pictures

Resin Crafts

I love sticking stuff in resin. Especially small things and Lego mini figures.

Greetings Cards

I also love entertaining myself by making cards for friends and family. I sometimes sell them in Britannia Panopticon as well. And yes, Lego mini figures feature heavily in my designs. My husband says I'm obsessed with them. He's not wrong.

If you like what you have seen on this page you can also buy them. Just send me an email.
